Dentist
Dr Bhavana Bhatia
Dr Bhavana, also known as Dr B, graduated with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery in 2003. She has a special interest in the management of gum disease (Periodontal issues) and a keen interest in laser and cosmetic dentistry including clear aligners, crowns and veneers. With over 20 years of experience, Dr Bhavana likes to keep herself updated with the latest developments in dentistry and regularly attends Professional development courses to further update and enhance her skills.
She is known to be a gentle dentist and finds it most rewarding when her patients overcome their fear of going to the dentist.
She firmly believes that good oral health is essential for overall wellbeing and everyone deserves a beautiful smile.
With her extensive experience in Australia and internationally, Dr Bhavana takes pride in providing a pleasant and stress-free experience to all her patients visiting her at Romsey Dental.
She speaks fluent English, Hindi and Punjabi. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling and loves spending time outdoors with her dog.
Dr Aurelius Sladen
Dr Aurelius Sladen strives to deliver the best long-term outcomes for his patients. His kind, empathetic and gentle approach to dentistry places his patients needs above all else.
Dr Sladen completed a Bachelor of Biomedical science at La Trobe university where he obtained first class honors prior to him completing a Doctor of Dental surgery at The University of Melbourne.
Dr Sladen spent the first year of his career working in regional NSW where he developed sound knowledge of all aspects of dentistry. He loves all forms of dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery, periodontics (gum treatment) and fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridge). He strives to stay at the forefront of dentistry by attending regular professional development courses. Outside of dentistry Dr Sladen enjoys various hobbies such as camping, fishing and four wheel driving.
Dr Amandeep Kaur
Dr Amandeep (Aman) Kaur graduated in 2011. She is confident in seeing patients of all ages. Her mission has been to provide comprehensive dentistry in a safe, quality and comfortable environment with a holistic approach that values oral health as vital to one's overall health. The ultimate goal is to make people healthy, confident and happy about their smiles, appearance and function.
She's a very gentle person who implements best practices and a high standard of care. She'll make even the most nervous people feel at ease. She's a polyglot as she's fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. She prides herself in being a caring clinician to provide tailored dental plans to suit each person's needs. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Aman is an avid film enthusiast. She loves spending quality time with her husband and young kids. She likes trying new cuisines and restaurants. In her downtime she prefers to stay inside with a good book.
Oral Health Therapist
Haylea Wright
Haylea is a recent graduate of Charles Sturt University completing her Bachelor of Oral Health. She was a dental assistant for 4 years prior to finishing her study.
Haylea is passionate about oral health. Her interests include patient education, working with children and treating & preventing periodontal disease in patients. Haylea spends her time outside the dental practice riding her horses!
Natasha Volpe
Natasha is a registered Oral Health Therapist who graduated from the University of Melbourne. She began her career in the dental industry over eight years ago as a dental nurse and realised she enjoyed the healthcare field so much that she wanted to further her studies with a Bachelor of Oral Health.
Throughout her career, Natasha has volunteered her time visiting schools and childcare centres to create engaging and educational oral health presentations.
In the clinic, Natasha strives to make each appointment for your child as fun as possible with their choice to pick their favourite movie on Netflix to watch while we work!
Having received dental treatment herself, Natasha prides herself on creating positive experiences for those who have dental anxiety and ensures each patient leaves the clinic with a bright, healthy smile.
Outside of dentistry, Natasha enjoys spending time with family and training her parrot named Nacho!
Dental Nurse
Claire
Claire has a whelm of experience in the dental industry. She first started as a trainee assistant just under 10 years ago when first arriving in Australia as a backpacker from Scotland and never looked back.
Having worked in all areas of dental Claire loves her job and helping people to want to smile again. Her greatest satisfaction comes from being able to play a part in and share our patient's dental transformation journey – changing one smile at a time.
During her spare time she spends with her two gorgeous wee girls and husband John and the never ending job of renovating their new house into a home.
Jazmin
Jazmin is a fully qualified dental nurse and receptionist who joined the team in August 2021. She brings a positive energy to the workplace that comes from her desire to learn something new every day.
When she's not working, Jazmin likes to go to the gym, read and spend time with family, friends and her dog.
Karlie
Meet Karlie, one of our dental team members who brings a blend of professionalism and warmth to every appointment. Having recently earned her certificate as a qualified dental assistant, Karlie is dedicated to ensuring each patient's experience is as comfortable as possible. Beyond her passion for dentistry, Karlie is a devoted animal lover, finding joy in caring for her variety of livestock. With her friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others, Karlie is not just a dental assistant but a welcoming presence for all who walk through our doors.
Mackenzie
Mackenzie is one of the dental nurses working at Romsey dental. She joined the team in October of 2020 and completed her Certificate III in Dental Nursing in February of 2022.
Mackenzie enjoys working at Romsey Dental as the team are super friendly and support her with everything she does.
Mackenzie hopes to continue her training and complete her Certificate IV in dental nursing within the near future. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching Carlton play, dancing, listening to country music and travelling.
Taliah
Taliah has recently started her Certificate III in dental assisting here at Romsey Dental. Her favorite part of the job is seeing patients leave with a smile on their face and being able to assist dentists in a wide range of different dental procedures.
Outside of work Taliah enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and going to the beach.
Tara
Tara has been working at Romsey Dental as a dental nurse for the past 3 and a half years, but has been in the dental field for almost 20 years. She has 2 boys and she loves ballroom dancing.
Tara loves looking after her patients, especially the kids and nervous patients helping them to feel comfortable and gain confidence in their treatment.
Tara loves learning new techniques and innovations that are always happening in dentistry.
Practice Manager
Krissy
Krissy has over 30 years' experience in the dental industry in a range of roles including dental nursing through to management. Krissy loves working with the awesome Romsey Dental staff who share the same values and direction to provide exceptional customer care.
She is passionate about providing our patients with the best care, having the opportunity to continue to grow in the dental industry and supporting and mentoring our team. When she is enjoying her free time, you will find Krissy hanging out with her family and friends, playing tennis, Netball umpiring, travelling and spending time at home.
Business Manager
Tracey
I have lived in Romsey for the past 35 years and am closely connected to the local community. I have close ties to the area, where my three children have attended local schools and played for local sporting groups.
I have 6 years' experience in the dental industry working initially at Romsey Dental as the Receptionist, Practice Manager then recently transitioning to the role of Business Manager.
I thoroughly enjoy working part of this amazing team. My enthusiasm, dedication and desire to improve operations inspires me to improve my personal skills. I am passionate about my role, caring for the wellbeing of fellow staff and patients.
Outside of work I value family time, as well as playing tennis, participating in water sports, watching my beloved Richmond Football team, travelling, all things equine, and spending time in my garden – weather permitting.
Sedationist
Barry Creighton
Dr Barry works with patients and their dentist to provide relief for patients who are anxious or uncomfortable having dental treatment, and who are undergoing procedures they find unpleasant. Sleep dentistry, also known as twilight sedation, provides a gentle and safe way to relieve anxiety.
Dr Barry together with his registered nurse provide the opportunity for patients to have dental treatment in the familiarity of their regular dental clinic in a safe and contained way.
